Standby Rates

Based on 10 hour days

Bid Qualifications / Assumptions

1. 1

   HDD pre-design of crossings are reflective of industry standards (i.e. geometry, pipe thickness & integrity, ground contours, pullback alignment, allotted space, depth of cover beneath obstacles). If modifications to design are required for constructability, additional footage required to successfully complete crossing(s) will be applied at relevant unit price based on original price/quantity.

   Payment due within 30 days of invoice.

   Work is contingent upon rig availability. Sufficient notice will be required for scheduling a rig.

   Clear line of sight of centerline from entry to exit shall be made available.

5. 5

   Price does not include bonds or builder's risk insurance.

   Every effort will be made to contain inadvertent drilling fluid returns in areas that are accessible with heavy equipment. If mud has to be removed from site a Hydrovac Truck shall be furnished at additional cost, unless listed in estimate.

   Any unforeseen or abnormal geological condition that may arise on any of the HDD locations may incur additional costs to complete.

   Location and verification of all potential conflicting obstacles shall be provided by General Contractor.

   All excavations required for obstacle verifications, mud pits, tail ditches, etc., shall be constructed by the other.

    All environmental structures such as silt fencing and hay bales shall be furnished and maintained by others.

    REDD shall have control of pull section lay out design and shall have last word on acceptability or unacceptability of pull section lay outs.

    If rock, gravel or cobble is encountered during the bore, the price on estimate will double unless listed as rock price on estimate.

    If a mud motor or railhead is used to drill the pilot hole the bore will be billed as rock pricing.

    All bids are based on 60 hours per week (6, 10 hour days). If we are asked to work over that we reserve the right to charge overtime based on our standby rates for the rig we have on the project.

    Bore pull heads will be provided by other. If REDD provide pull head it will be listed on estimate.

Items Included in HDD Scope

1. 1

   Labor, drilling equipment and water required to perform the bore.

2. 2

   Price includes all costs associated with mobilization and demobilization, unless otherwise stated in the bid.

3. 3

   Any mud cleanup in areas that are not accessible with heavy equipment (vacuum trucks, etc.) will be done on a cost plus 15% basis. Should contaminated materials be encountered, handling of drilling waste will be subject to a negotiated rate and HDD standby rates above will apply if operations must be halted.

   Price includes R.E.D.D providing our own water for the drilling operations.

   As-built profile of pilot hole survey data plan and profile view will be provided within ten working days of completion of all crossings.

   R.E.D.D will provide the rollers required for the pullback operations. General Contractor will set rollers and be responsible for any loss or damages beyond normal use and wear.

Items Excluded from HDD Scope / Provided by Others

1. 1

   Suitable over the road equipment access (all weather) to the entry and exit work sites capable of supporting truck loads weighing up to 150,000 lbs. This includes all matting, maintenance, up-keep and restoration of roads used for access to either entry or exit sides of all HDD Locations.

2. 2

   Suitable level work platform (mats as required) for our equipment at our work sites. Work sites will be a minimum of as follows: a. Small Rig: Entry 50' x 100' b. Large Rig: Entry 150' x 150' c. In addition to the dimensions shown above, adequate pit access and turn around room shall be provided for our Vacuum Trucks on both ends of all HDD locations.

   Track hoe w/operator to support the drilling operations on the entry/exit side. All excavations (mud pits) will be by others. General Contractor shall furnish support equipment and operators as necessary for move in and down rigging at all HDD locations.

4. 4

   R.E.D.D has not included in our price the purchase, installation or maintenance of environmental structures such as silt fence and hay bales to contain drilling fluid between entry and exit locations as well as locations that are not accessible with heavy equipment.

   Purchase, hauling, stringing, welding and testing of the pipe.

6. 6

   Installation and maintenance of all environmental items such as berms, silt fence, hay bales etc.

7. 7

   Support required for the pulling back the carrier pipe section. This includes support for removal of downhole tooling/pipe as necessary at no additional cost to R.E.D.D.

8. 8

   Provide materials, personnel and equipment for completing all Dig-Downs, Tie-Ins, Fittings, Final Testing and Restoration.

9. 9

   Price includes providing vacuum trucks to haul off excess drilling fluids to a disposal site within 15 miles of work sites.

10. 10

    All traffic control and road closure activities.

11. 11

    All permits required to perform the work and/or any monitoring/mitigation measures including noise control if required. This also includes providing the necessary permits to dispose the excess drilling fluid if required.

    Identification of all underground lines and utilities.

13. 13

    Centerline survey and indication of entry and exit locations.

14. 14

    Bonds and use agreements for all applicable State and County Rds.

15. 15

    Sanitation facilities.

    Rollers required for the pullback operations will be furnished by others. General Contractor will set rollers and be responsible for any loss or damages beyond normal use and wear.
